#HFS2018

I started this Blog when I first started working with the North Lake College Summer Hawaiian Field Studies course. I knew that in 2 weeks, I would learn so much and I needed a place to document it. I was right. I went back through my pictures when I got home and thought, "Did we stop here? I don't remember this!". So I went back to my Blog and was reminded of that moment. So many great moments, so many great stories...here is where I document them. Please read, enjoy, send me questions, comments, etc.

I will be streaming live using Periscope on my Twitter Page. Follow me @Laronna_D on Twitter and @ldoggett on Instagram
Follow the class @ nlchfs on Twitter and Instagram

Countdown to Hawaii

Well, here goes.  This is my first official Blog post.  I have had my Aquatic Science kid Blogging all year long, so now I get to experience the torture that I put them through.

Four week from today, I will be in Hawaii starting my adventure at an official driver for the North Lake College Hawaiian Field Studies Course.

Yesterday, I started my Velocity training so that I get back into shape so that I can have a better time in Hawaii.  My last day in Hawaii, I have Surf Lessons!  All I want to do is ride one great wave.  I can barely  move today, but it will be worth it.

My goal with this Blog is to document what I have seen and learned each day.  I am afraid that we will be doing so much and I will be learning so much that I am going to forget some things unless I write it down.

The countdown begins...
