#HFS2018
I started this Blog when I first started working with the North Lake College Summer Hawaiian Field Studies course. I knew that in 2 weeks, I would learn so much and I needed a place to document it. I was right. I went back through my pictures when I got home and thought, "Did we stop here? I don't remember this!". So I went back to my Blog and was reminded of that moment. So many great moments, so many great stories...here is where I document them. Please read, enjoy, send me questions, comments, etc.
I will be streaming live using Periscope on my Twitter Page. Follow me @Laronna_D on Twitter and @ldoggett on Instagram

Are we there yet?
No, but it is getting close. I can envision my feet in the white sand beaches of Waikiki and the cool water slapping my legs. In just a couple of days, the fun part of the Hawaiian Field Studies course will begin. All of the students that have been diligently working on their pre-trip activities will understand what all of the hard work was for. There is nothing like standing on cooled lava while talking about lava types or first seeing a wiggling brittle star in its natural habitat or seeing the night sky like nowhere else on earth up at Mauna Kea. Can we go NOW! I will do my best to keep up with my Blog while I am over there. Some days are so busy that I get a little behind, but I will get caught up :-) Aloha!
